Alfredo Egydio Setubal is Investor Relations Director and Executive Vice-President of the Capital Markets Area of Banco Itaú Holding Financeira S.A. He holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), with specialization at INSEAD (France).

Mr Setubal is currently president of ANBID (National Association of Investment Banks) and Chairman of the Board of IBRI (Brazilian Investor Relations Institute). He is also a member of the boards of ADEVAL (Brazilian Association of Securities Dealers) and ABRASCA (Brazilian Association of Publicly Listed Companies).

As Investor Relations Director, is the main responsible for Itaú Holding's communication with the capital markets. The Bank's IR Policy is directed toward continuously improving the transparency of financial and strategic information disclosed to the capital markets with attention to quality, relevance, timeliness, reliability, as well as ethical and equal treatment of ALL capital markets agents. In 2002 Mr. Setubal has been chosen as the best IR Professional in Brazil for the second time through a direct vote conducted among all the associates of APIMEC (Association of Analysts and Investment Professionals of the Capital Markets).

In addition to the Investor Relations activities at Itaú Holding, Alfredo Setubal is the Chairman of the Board of IBRI (Brazilian Investor Relations Institute), where his efforts are focused on promoting the role of Investor Relations in the market, developing ethics and conduct codes for IR practitioners, sponsoring intensive experience and knowledge sharing among the IR community - all of which is in line with his commitment to the development of capital markets and in turn, Brazil itself.
