Britaldo Pedrosa Soares
Britaldo joined with AES in September 2005. From 2005 to June 2007 he was CFO and VP Finance & Investor Relations of AES Brazil businesses. He became CEO & Country Manager for AES Brazil in June 2007.
Prior to AES Britaldo worked for Prisma Energy International as VP Finance and Corporate Governance (2003 – 2005) for Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina; CFO and VP Finance for Enron South America (2001 – 2003); CFO & Investor Relations for Elektro Eletricidade e Serviços S.A. (1999 – 2003).
From 1992 to 1998 he worked for the CAEMI Group as CEO of Jari Celulose S/A and CFO & investor Relations of the Pulp & Paper Business Unit.
Britaldo worked also 12 years in the banking industry with Citibank/Citigroup, becoming a Senior Vice President of the Corporate Finance and International Corporate Finance business units in São Paulo/Brazil.
Britaldo received his Master of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 1980, and a master degree in Economic and Finance Engineering at Fundação Dom Cabral (Minas Gerais) in 1984.
